There comes a time for everyone,
All people young and old.
In Autumn when the colored leaves
Are dropped and start to fall;
The scorching sun of Summertime
Is no time to be bold;
Buttoned coats and lengthy sleeves
Make Winter worst of all.
It's none of these that let plants grow
And start the cycle new;
It's none of these - as you should know -
That makes the lonely few;
That other time, or season, thing,
Where happiness is found...is Spring.
It never ends easy, does it?
It never ends the way we want it to.
I didn't think that it would end like this,
But so you know, I still love you.
You said you needed time
As the taxi pulled away.
You left me there, behind -
And kept my heart that day.
I tried to do my very best,
I loved you with all of my might;
Broke my back and cracked my chest,
Still love you now, this very night.
So this is not to say goodbye,
Mere empty words of nevermore -
I hate to see it when you cry.
You left me here, just like before.
Back on the attack,
I'm never coming back,
Patience I do lack,
I cannot stand your flak,
You know I run this track.
-----------------------------------
When you gotta go,
You go with the flow,
Never letting go,
Even though you know
It's a mortal blow.
If you turn around,
Something will be found,
Simple yet profound,
And it will astound,
Lift you off the ground.
Too late now you try,
You're unable to fly
Reaching for the sky,
Can't escape the lies,
All has gone awry.
Now you try to swim,
Things are getting grim,
Chances getting slim,
Losing all your limbs,
Discarded on a whim.
Always falling,
So appalling,
Constant
When I look in the mirror,
What do I see?
Nothing but a sorry face
Looking back at me.
When I look in the mirror,
What do I see?
Nothing but a big disgrace
Looking back at me.
When I look in the mirror,
What do I see?
Every one of my mistakes
Looking back at me.
When I look in the mirror,
What do I see?
Everything in me that's fake
Looking back at me.
When I look in the mirror,
What do I know?
The mirror's a fraud,
Nothing but a show.
The grey light of dawn spread over the countryside, failing to pierce the swathes of mist below. It crept over a country road where two shapes could be seen trudging through the snow, figures distorted by the fog. One was shorter than the other, and seemed to be walking slowly.
"Come on, we're gonna miss the bus!"
"Ah, we have plenty of time." He yawned. "It's too early for this anyway..."
As the sun grew warmer, the mists started to dissapate, revealing a clearer image of the figures. The shorter one was a boy with a thin build that was at odds with his height. His black hair was haphazardly arrangegd, accenting his brown eyes.

In case you hadn't yet realized, I've abandoned this account. Initially it was due to a lack of time, but I simply don't care enough to revive it. My deviations will probably remain up, and I may eventually add some new ones, but don't hold your breath.

Disclaimer: As Journals go, this one is going to be pretty crappy; lack of updates, cohesion, and interesting material is going to be pretty prevalent (in addition to an abundance of sophisticated and often confusing vocabulary choices). The story rant is also the most important part; if nothing else, please read that part.
Arrogant rant: With that out of the way, let's get on with this. Despite this being my first entry, it does not contain any very personal material - no 'heart-to-heart' talks. In all likelihood, this will contain nothing but rants and the occasional plea for review or creative aid regarding a piece of art. If anyone is st
