Disclaimer: As Journals go, this one is going to be pretty crappy; lack of updates, cohesion, and interesting material is going to be pretty prevalent (in addition to an abundance of sophisticated and often confusing vocabulary choices). The story rant is also the most important part; if nothing else, please read that part.

Arrogant rant: With that out of the way, let's get on with this. Despite this being my first entry, it does not contain any very personal material - no 'heart-to-heart' talks. In all likelihood, this will contain nothing but rants and the occasional plea for review or creative aid regarding a piece of art. If anyone is still reading this, I applaud you for your patience...

Emo rant: Well, last Sunday (12th October) I was visiting a friend's house. On my way out - shoeless, as I was inside the house - I stepped on something sharp. I checked for any pieces of debris, and, finding none, ignored it. Well, around Friday evening I was playing with my little brother and landed hard on my foot, causing a sharp jolt of pain to race through my body. I looked again, to no avail; eventually, I discovered that a small piece of glass was lodged deep into my foot. I ended up getting it out without hospital intervention, but it's still healing and hurts (as you can imagine). I feel like a hypochondriac now >.>

Story rant: I've been thinking about writing a new story, one with a solid premise, strong characters, and an engaging plot. As of now, I've developed ideas for one race, the Infernals, and have laid the baseline for the premise. A brief synopsis is as follows: The Infernals - beings with the ability to 'grow' wings of flame - are pirates and raiders, a scourge to civilized life. As a result, the major nations of the continent have created an uneasy truce amongst themselves and appointed a single war leader to eliminate the Infernals. Please, comment on this. Do you like it, or is it utter B.S.? Any ideas on how to improve? Just wanna know more?
